Approach

Pivotal for realising ambitious goals is setting up a tight organisation of the redevelopment programmes. Complexity levels are high and sustainability aspects are easily ejected. Focus is on early removal of barriers that could unintentionally have been introduced by building owners, residents, project managers and financial constraints. In the non-technical research task, decision making and financial approaches are specified to guarantee the implementation of energy ambitions. A wide range of concepts on building measures and energy infrastructure are developed. Through training and dissemination programmes results will also be available for other large renovation areas.

When describing the approach of Staccato there are two levels to be distinguished:

  • General approach of the project (Work package 1-5).
  • Approach for each demonstration site (Work package A-C).

Work package 1: Project management and inception
Work package 2: Dissemination activities towards associate communities
Work package 3: Research, monitoring and analysis
Work package 4: Dissemination and promotion
Work package 5: Verification, evaluation

Work package A: Demonstration site Amsterdam Noord
A.1: Project management
A.2: Energy Infrastructure and ecobuilding design & implementation
A.3: Research, Monitoring and Dissemination

Work package B: Demonstration site Óbuda
B.1: Project management
B.2: Energy Infrastructure and ecobuilding design & implementation
B.3: Research, Monitoring and Dissemination

Work package C: Demonstration site Oborishte
C.1: Project management
C.2: Energy Infrastructure and ecobuilding design & implementation
C.3: Research, Monitoring and Dissemination

Training activities are not dealt with in separate work packages. They are included in research or demonstration work packages, where they are considered to be most functional.
